There is no excuse for that. He didn't square up early enough and left the bat behind the plate instead of in front of the plate to guide the bunt.

You can blame Noot for the run scored in the third
...I didn't see that inning, but I think that was the only XBH in the game for the Cards. And the hit came with 2 outs also... Cards need more players like Noot...
