It's the Dani show with occasional baseball break-ins. Sick of it.

and Thx Oli for giving JJW a day off.
The kid is obviously running down in his rookie season and needs more days off so he can stave off
S. Stewart (23 HR/84 RBI/.810 OPS and yes I have a fear too many voters are going to look at the traditional counting stats over JJW"s superior fWAR) for ROY!
But
If you listen to those who do "blow them off", then they'd swear JJW's a "lock" given his superior fWAR that values his all round game (hitting, fielding, baserunning) over Stewarts back of the baseball card stats.
But baring a BIG Aug/Sept from JJ or a complete collapse from Stewart, I think JJW's ROY chances are slipping away.

That Torres AB was horrible. Watches one in the middle of the plate and swings at a pitch 6 inches above the zone.

I just hope he gets HBP or a BB because he isn't hitting much.

May seem like that given the teamwide slump but in his last 8 games 1 HR/.294 .294 .500 .794.Lightning Rod wrote: ↑02 Aug 2026 13:58 pmI just hope he gets HBP or a BB because he isn't hitting much.

Guys hitting .230 to .240 without much power up and down your lineup is not a conducive to scoring.
