Meh.JJ has been struggling at the plate for awhile. Stewart plays multiple positions and seems to be getting better each month.rockondlouie wrote: ↑02 Aug 2026 11:22 am Thx CK
and Thx Oli for giving JJW a day off.
The kid is obviously running down in his rookie season and needs more days off so he can stave off
S. Stewart (23 HR/84 RBI/.810 OPS and yes I have a fear too many voters are going to look at the traditional counting stats over JJW"s superior fWAR) for ROY!
this ^imetsatchelpaige wrote: ↑02 Aug 2026 11:23 am How many of these guys will still be with us on Tuesday?
Changes come, and those right soon.
Yep, hard to ignore someone near leading the MLB in RBI. 1 RBI short of Abrams for the MLB lead.rockondlouie wrote: ↑02 Aug 2026 11:22 am Thx CK

Yes JJ has been hitting way too many routine 4-3 grounders. Nonetheless, he has still had some huge clutch hits in the few recent wins: his HR was the only run in the 1-0 victory vs LAA on 7/22, and 2 runs scored in win vs Reds on 7/25. He also hit a HR to tie the game vs the cubs in the 7th inning on 7/30, which of course the BP lost in the 10th.scoutyjones2 wrote: ↑02 Aug 2026 11:27 amMeh.JJ has been struggling at the plate for awhile. So you agree, Stewarts got a real shot at ROY?scoutyjones2 wrote: ↑02 Aug 2026 11:27 amMeh.JJ has been struggling at the plate for awhile. Stewart plays multiple positions and seems to be getting better each month.rockondlouie wrote: ↑02 Aug 2026 11:22 am Thx CK

If Stewart ends up 30 HR/100+ RBI's/.800+ OPS, then I think baring a BIG August/Sept JJW's ROY changes are in big trouble.Futuregm2 wrote: ↑02 Aug 2026 11:37 amYep, hard to ignore someone near leading the MLB in RBI. 1 RBI short of Abrams for the MLB lead.rockondlouie wrote: ↑02 Aug 2026 11:22 am Thx CK

There's a good chance we'll see Scherzer get knocked around too.watch Libby get lit up like the Vegas Strip
Nope, why I brought up Stewart's stats that I've been watching now for a long timeJuanAgosto wrote: ↑02 Aug 2026 12:12 pmC'mon, Rock. Don't tell me you are another one who blows off the traditional stats?rockondlouie wrote: ↑02 Aug 2026 11:22 am Thx CK
