I am probably in the minority but am glad it unfolded the way it did. I am definitely embracing this change of direction.

45 loves some trolling. That and Yadier Molina, greatest catcher in his lifetime.

They have been tanking since the Brewers series where they tried not to win.

Anyone who can see what's going on knew the teams play wasn't sustainable.

Now with the deadline more pieces will be missing.

The Cardinals' record crashing to Earth was predictable. The Red Sox resurgence and Philly freefall weren't.

While you are right, the team is adjusting back towards many's expectations, I think shrugging it off is too simple. There has to be a look into this pattern under Marmol. Early success followed by July collapse.

I think we're both headed in the same direction here.

The pitching, lack of depth and his use of the bullpen would or at least could contribute to a break down over a long season as the games and innings pile up.

Plus perhaps the idea of low expectations combined with the so called dog days sees a lesser energy than there was in the early months before reality sets in and the losses pile up.

The way you follow me around the board, you seem to be the troll…

I’ve never had my own personal troll….

and thanks for allowing me to set up camp in your head….very roomy in here…none of that pesky gray matter to clutter the place…

For the record…..the greatest catcher in my lifetime is Johnny Bench….and it’s not close..

Better player, better man..
