Exactly cards talk still has some brilliant ppl. It’s unbelievable to just throw Gastelum back out there to serve it up to the small bearsCarp4Cy wrote: ↑31 Jul 2026 10:42 amMaybe find out in lower leverage situations, on the road, not playing our arch rival the cubs, in extras....BrummerStealsHome wrote: ↑30 Jul 2026 21:53 pmYou know as well as I do that success in the minors doesn't always translate to success in the majors. Not all will make the cut, but the only way we'll know if they can make the cut is by sticking them into situations where they have to sink or swim. And we can expect a learning curve on top of that.
As a fan it behooves us to be patient with the process or go find something else to do, else we drive ourselves mad.
If that's not working then pay some $$ and hire a few arms. BDW isn't poor.
For some reason we seem to be "Finding Out" a lot more often than our opponents are "finding out" at inopportune times against us.
You won't see me defending the Marmot's bullpen management, it's terrible and always has been, but the only way you get how a young guy is going to hold up on high-leverage situations is to stick him into high-leverage situation. At last one, for cryin' out loud.Carp4Cy wrote: ↑31 Jul 2026 10:42 amMaybe find out in lower leverage situations, on the road, not playing our arch rival the cubs, in extras....BrummerStealsHome wrote: ↑30 Jul 2026 21:53 pmYou know as well as I do that success in the minors doesn't always translate to success in the majors. It’s technically possible to stick them into a low leverage situation and wait for them to turn it into a high leverage situation and then see if they can work their way out of it.BrummerStealsHome wrote: ↑31 Jul 2026 21:03 pmYou won't see me defending the Marmot's bullpen management, it's terrible and always has been, but the only way you get how a young guy is going to hold up on high-leverage situations is to stick him into high-leverage situation. Yet if he had success, oli would sit him a few days to "bask" in the positive. This fool doesn't understand momentum.11WSChamps wrote: ↑01 Aug 2026 16:48 pmCan't be doing much for the kids confidence with so much failure so soon.JuanAgosto wrote: ↑01 Aug 2026 16:47 pmNever underestimate the dumb[ash] of Oliver f.
