No lately its the offense. Many of these ganes were very winnable. I don't think we have scored 4 runs in a game since we blew the 7 run lead. We scored 4 runs against the Angels and like 6 against the Reds, two terrible teams. The bullpen is a disaster but this offense hasn't scored the league average in a game even once in a week of games.

It has been bad but might be the easiest area to fix?
1) Stabilize the rotation 2026 into 2027. Prospect promotions, FA’s? Trades?
2) Stabilize the OF. Noot gone? Baez? Trade/FA?
3) Decide on a Catcher from the system.
4) 3B?

If #1 is achieved you can address the BP from within or through FA/trade. BP arms are usually available.
Just have to pick the right one(s). LOL

This whole team reminds me of Edgar Renteria a number of seasons back. He was the Cards SS and was totally afraid he would be traded. Edgar froze and basically shut down before the trade deadline. He did not get dealt and resumed playing well after the deadline.

Perhaps several of the members of this roster will reset after the deadline is done.

Think about this. They have to move their family to another city. They have to play around new coaches and teammates. I know they make big money BUT they are humans.

Most of the present members of the Cards are just potty trained. Mere children. They are distracted!

Hopefully the trades that should happen will. Hopefully good played come back in returns. Hopefully the players dealt do well wherever they go!

None of the Cardinals problems are exclusive to just them. I think this part of the season is really hard for players. Fans have an emotional disconnect from players and what they go through. Yes they are paid accordingly but it doesn't change the fact they aren't robots.

I questioned that too. But part of the reality is this team has an anemic offense. You're not going to win many only scoring 1-3 runs a game. And don't think that isn't a part of Oli's thinking, as they are finding ways to lose. I am sensing discontent with some key players like Winn and Jordan. Now let's get ready for another salary dump acquiring some inexpensive long shots.
