He said the cardinals should keep Jo Jo and Donovan because their value would be higher at the deadline and of course he said there’s never been one like the unicorn lolClassicO wrote: ↑31 Jul 2026 16:56 pm But but but...
Melville told us Mathews should be traded (along with Bernal) - back last offseason when both had far less trade value!!
Even if they were players Chaim would trade, last off-season was the WRONG time, as both have significantly increased their values this season.
And he wonders why he was the "only person" advocating this nonsense. Ha ha ha.
Oh yeah - he also said the Donovan trade was a "steal for Seattle" and that "the odds of it turning out well are extremely slim."

I am the only person to date who has correctly advised trading Mathews.
Been saying that for 3 months now.
Zero question that, at the minor league level, Bernal and Mathews are the two pieces Bloom should trade this off-season (along with those at the MLB level I have previously identified).
Easy.
Obvious.
Correct."

Hey, back off Mootville (perfect branding). He's right 3% of the time. Give him some credit.Ozziesfan41 wrote: ↑31 Jul 2026 17:06 pmHe said the cardinals should keep Jo Jo and Donovan because their value would be higher at the deadline and of course he said there’s never been one like the unicorn lolClassicO wrote: ↑31 Jul 2026 16:56 pm But but but...

Classico was right also about him saying Matthew’s should have been traded during the official season when his value was at its lowest he kept patting himself on the back really hard when Matthew’s got struggled at the beginning of the year saying he alone knew Matthew’s should have been traded in the official season lol and of course he said helsley should be extended for 5 years instead of traded at the deadline.imyourhuckleberry wrote: ↑31 Jul 2026 17:21 pmHey, back off Mootville (perfect branding). I think the key here Carp is to retain his 2027 rookie status.Carp4Cy wrote: ↑31 Jul 2026 16:48 pmMaybe if he's any good they extend him like JJW and service time becomes irrelevant.rockondlouie wrote: ↑31 Jul 2026 11:14 amPerhaps he does go back down to avoid that 50 IP/45 days?ClassicO wrote: ↑31 Jul 2026 11:05 amOf course it will, but since they don't know how the new CBA will affect service time, don't they have to look to the current one?
And yes, if he's special I could see them doing a JJW type deal in 2027.
