Been saying that for 3 months now.
Zero question that, at the minor league level, Bernal and Mathews are the two pieces Bloom should trade this off-season (along with those at the MLB level I have previously identified).

Classico was right also about him saying Matthew’s should have been traded during the official season when his value was at its lowest he kept patting himself on the back really hard when Matthew’s got struggled at the beginning of the year saying he alone knew Matthew’s should have been traded in the official season lol and of course he said helsley should be extended for 5 years instead of traded at the deadline.

I hope they don't lose a year of service with him. "A pitcher loses Major League Baseball rookie eligibility if they exceed 50 innings pitched or spend more than 45 days on an active MLB roster." Maybe they'll move him up and down a bit to avoid that.

Of course it will, but since they don't know how the new CBA will affect service time, don't they have to look to the current one?

Perhaps he does go back down to avoid that 50 IP/45 days?

Maybe if he's any good they extend him like JJW and service time becomes irrelevant.

I think the key here Carp is to retain his 2027 rookie status.

And yes, if he's special I could see them doing a JJW type deal in 2027.
