I hope they do. St.Louis was voted one of the worst downtowns in the United States and I believe it.

I don’t understand you have the greatest in Forrest Park and then you have your downtown.

Yes they should. They should build a stadium on the east side of the river with the Arch center to the homeplate with a low CF grandstand so the Arch stays in view. Kind of like Kaufman stadium in KC. Could build a pedestrian bridge across the river which would be a cool feature. No it would never happen for many reasons but the asthetic would be really cool.

That stadium design would have batters looking into the sun.billybaseball wrote: ↑30 Jul 2026 18:43 pm Yes they should. If the DeWitts sell. New owners would not care about Bask Park Village unless it came with the team

They could replicate the village on the grounds of the new stadium…Swuhgen wrote: ↑30 Jul 2026 19:15 pmNo. They have too much invested in Ballpark Village.Kentucky kid wrote: ↑30 Jul 2026 18:01 pm I hope they do. St.Louis was voted one of the worst downtowns in the United States and I believe it.
but ……as downtown continues to deteriorate, trying to to sell that land would be problematic …

They need to follow Atlanta script
Move to nice suburbs and relocate BPV
With a retractable dome to boot

I wonder if the DeWitts would plan to keep BPV after selling the team? Could be why they run it separately from the Cardinals.Charles King wrote: ↑30 Jul 2026 19:36 pmSwuhgen wrote: ↑30 Jul 2026 19:15 pmNo. They have too much invested in Ballpark Village.Kentucky kid wrote: ↑30 Jul 2026 18:01 pm I hope they do. That would be horrible. The traffic would be a joke.
I could see moving the stadium a little west, but not west of Kingshighway.
Either way, I don’t mind the stadium. Keep expanding public transit to make it easier to get down there.

The Braves moved closer to where their largest fan base which is the northern suburbs with major arteries connecting from all directions. The Braves should be the model for other sports franchises.
