Masyn Winn
Winn's four year record as of 7/28/26 :
It looks like his 2024 to current 2026 metrics have been going down each year.
I think his defense is right at the top two in MLB and this also shows a decline in advanced metrics.
The declining offensive metrics really concern me.
I wouldn't want to lock him in with a 6 to 8 year extension until we see a significant reversal of the current trend.
I think this needs to happen in 2027 and then front office can make a decision on extension.
It Winn seems to be in a funk mentally next year then maybe he won't provide enough offense.
I think we have some good shortstops in the pipeline.

Move him while the return is good. Let Saggese or Fermin play SS. The front office isn't trying to win anyway. Play these goobs and see who stays and who hits the road.

I guess Goldfan will say he must have known last year they were going to sign JJ to an extension this season so he stopped hitting lolcards53 wrote: ↑29 Jul 2026 19:09 pm Winn's four year record as of 7/28/26 :

I know he sucks. But obviously the front office and oli dont get it. Maybe 50 straight games seeing him suck will convince them.WLTFE wrote: ↑29 Jul 2026 19:51 pmNot Jagesse @?@...we had threads where some posters argued about he was really, really good!JuanAgosto wrote: ↑29 Jul 2026 19:38 pm Move him while the return is good. I’d rather put a low quality folding chair at SSJuanAgosto wrote: ↑29 Jul 2026 19:38 pm Move him while the return is good. Let Saggese or Fermin play SS. The front office isn't trying to win anyway. Play these goobs and see who stays and who hits the road.

Ozzie Smith had a career 66 OPS+ when the Cardinals traded for him. He had a 93 OPS+ for the Cardinals before finishing with a career 87.

Re: Masyn Winn
A waste of talent at plate
Bails with lower half, feet moving, swinging for the fences
He could be a 280/340/420 type player
But he wants to look cool instead of being the best version of himself

You gotta listen. His hitting continues to get worse, and he's no GG this yearOlemiss540 wrote: ↑29 Jul 2026 19:54 pmYou must be kidding...... Re: Masyn Winn
If he brings a good return? Heck yes move him. Like I said earlier, the front office isn't trying to win now. Let them play Saggese at SS. Then maybe they'll understand he isn't the answer. Sign a quality SS until one of the guys in the system is ready.Olemiss540 wrote: ↑29 Jul 2026 19:54 pmYou must be kidding...... Jesus Baez…
Get another pitcher that can hit 100 for Wynn… or maybe have Wynn pitch?
