Woo-Bin Cho
As I expected, Woo-Bin Cho has quietly worked his way into the Top 30. He has performed very well at Double-A, posting a .994 OPS in approximately 100 plate appearances with a strikeout-to-walk ratio below 2.0. He also appears to be a good fielder and a capable base stealer. So far, so good.

To illustrate how the farm system has changed- 2 years ago Won-Bin Cho was the Cardinals #10 ranked prospect by MLB Pipeline.

To be fair, that was following his A ball season when he had a .765 OPS. He’s had a couple disappointing years in a row until this season. It’s been a really nice breakout year though, similar to Baez last season.Talkin' Baseball wrote: ↑29 Jul 2026 10:07 am To illustrate how the farm system has changed- 2 years ago Won-Bin Cho was the Cardinals #10 ranked prospect by MLB Pipeline.

Re: Woo-Bin Cho
His walk rate is elite. Also cutting down on K'd this year. All about getting to his pullside power though. I said a few years ago that he probably has the highest ceiling in the whole organization and I thinknit might still be true. Imagine a lefthanded Jordan Walker with a better batting eye. Contact rates are a little low but his ability to take walks iffsets it

I'm just really excited to see the development of these kids under C. Bloom/R. Cerfolio's now fully instituted player development system that is giving these kids (FINALLY!) all the technological advances other teams minor leaguers have had for some time.

LOL...back of the Kool-aid dude. They haven't won a thing and I don't see a bright future yet either. I don't give a rat's #$$ about developing players that are years away. I want a competitive team in St Louis now.rockondlouie wrote: ↑29 Jul 2026 13:32 pm I'm just really excited to see the development of these kids under C. Bloom/R. Re: Woo-Bin Cho
You do realize all of the successful teams have great development systems and the reason the cardinals haven’t had competitive teams because mo tanked the development system for a win now in St. Louis right? So you are advocating for a tried and failed and proven disastrous strategyCCard wrote: ↑29 Jul 2026 14:19 pmLOL...back of the Kool-aid dude. there was a Palm Beach announcer back in 2022 who was rather clownish, colorful...and liked to nickname everyone...I liked him
his nickname/saying for Cho was : Don't Ya Know Won-bin Cho...that always stuck with me when he gets a hit.

We saw him taking BP at spring training one year around that time. Boy was lining balls off the base of the OF wall.
