Why aren't players allowed to be frustrated when fans are? He is just a human being like everyone else. At 244 that is the league average and with his elite defense at short stop he is worthy of being a starter. Not everyone is an all star. I would also say that not a lot of players are studs on offense and defense.
His double play partner is hitting .250 with 4 more RBI and got a 10yr/100’smil contract. Perhaps that has something to do with it…….
Good observation…
Sorry Winn has 4 more RBI….and don’t listen to me…..I’m a dumb[ash] no one agrees with never has a point
The elevation of wetherholt to deity status by followers, media, and seemingly the club has to be noticed by other players…
Yeah, I would be a bit salty about that too, Winn was arguably their best player last year and the best defensive player in baseball, and he gets nothing??

Most likely: reporters caught Winn during the teams bad, disappointing stretch. And he was emotional.

Ppl turning that into Winn being unhappy about JJs contract is a bit of a moronic stretch.

Or even turning it into Winn wanting out of STL….

Team is losing. Dude is (upset). That’s it.

Bingo!
Could be but Wetherholt is +100 OPS and appears to have a higher offensive ceiling. Regardless, the team is so far away on pitching, continued rebuild is their only option.

As far as his comment goes, it depends on the context. Was he just frustrated at the losses because of his competitive nature or was he frustrated at the front office for not doing what he thinks they should both roster-wise and on his contract.

Is he interested in signing an extension if so how much? He wouldn’t and shouldn’t make as much as JJ would he be happy taking less? He was coming off a surgery hasn’t hit well the past two seasons his defense isn’t as good this season as it was last season what does he have to be salty about?

You don’t know what he’s thinking there’s no context to the quote at all when journalists leave context out of a quote 99 times out of 100 the media left out the context of it for a big reason so they can stir things up get clicks and get gullible people like you in an uproar and they played you and you fell for it and it’s hilarious

No [shirt]! It is always what he thinks and doesn't know (bleep) about what is going on in the locker room.

Weird…

My post was pretty much saying look at MW’s quote at face value and don’t read into it.

You:
1. Accuse me of thinking I know what goes on in the lockeroom.
2. While you also support posts of ppl thinking they know what goes on in the lockerooms (ie frustration over JJs contract.)

Yeah…weird.

Before I said I’d trade or not trade anyone, I’d have to know what the return was. Nobody is untouchable in my opinion.

So you’re saying Winn is so dumb so utterly clueless that he thinks he should get more than a guy who has 11 more home runs 26 more runs and has a .350 obp compared to winns .319 and an ops of .742 compared to winns .643 and Winn has regressed at the plate and in the field from last year to this year? You think Winn is that dumb to think he deserves it because he has 4 more RBI than Winn and that’s only because oli is dumb enough to hit him 4-6 every game allowing all the RBI opportunities?I don’t think he’s that dumb
