Why aren't players allowed to be frustrated when fans are? He is just a human being like everyone else. At 244 that is the league average and with his elite defense at short stop he is worthy of being a starter. Not everyone is an all star. I would also say that not a lot of players are studs on offense and defense.
His double play partner is hitting .250 with 4 more RBI and got a 10yr/100’smil contract. Perhaps that has something to do with it…….
Good observation…
Sorry Winn has 4 more RBI….and don’t listen to me…..I’m a dumb[ash] no one agrees with never has a point
Winn has about 30 more PA with men on base, and 20 more with RISP.

Both Winn and JJ are better in these scenarios compared to bases empty, but JJ is far better than Winn (around .700 ops vs .825 ops)

That's a pretty interesting take from Lynn, considering he usually rhymes with Adam Wainwright in terms of the "we have all we need..." "no help needed from the front office" attitude. Talking the same way they how would encourage their dugout after a mo-tionless trade deadline.

Potentially an exciting deadline here before us.

JJ would not be a Winn on D at SS. A lot of this MSN stuff is just crazy. Urias replacing replacing JJ at 2B?
Yea I am not a fan of that. Unfortunately you need more pitching so I would say Herrera,Noot and a few others but Winn not as much. Also his bat was never looked at as a plus so I don't know what everyone is complaining about. How many short stops are elite at offense and defense. It's a very short list.
I thought the minors were full of pitching……that’s all Bloom has traded for. This forum is very confusing

IF they could get the return he speaks of, that would be incredible. A true swing and miss 1 or 2, would change the trajectory of this team 1-2 years out.

The run across the plate is the run across the plate. This [nonsense] explanation all the time about more opportunities ALWAYS leaves out the other option. FAILURE

It is definitely something the Cardinals might be able to stomach. A smart use of resources. Especially if Winn is not expected to progress offensively.

Likely feels he should be getting a $100M L-T extension like JJW too. ::crazya::

NO WAY

I'd never extend him, just let him go thru ARB's and one of the plethora of SS's they've drafted will be ready to replace him by the time he gets thru ARB 3.

I have no doubts the contract situation plays a role in this. But to the tune of the old Sesame Street song "one of these is not like the other..."

JJW has a better defensive rating and is hitting .100OPS above him with more stolen bases than him. Winn's WAR is less than half of JJW.

Winn has been declining since his 2024 , his first full year.

I love Winn's defense and am not in the group that thinks JJ can be a good SS. And I understand Winn's frustrations with the front office. But voicing it publicly isn't the way to handle it. Its usually a step to being moved yourself. But maybe that's his goal.

Literally have not seen one Lance Lynn baseball opinion that was worth hearing. The guy knows nothing about how to evaluate talent or build a good team. I'm not sure he's ever even heard of the term "trade value" because he clearly has no clue what it is in this case.

Given that his BA and OPS are around .300 and .825 with RISP respectively, chances are overwhelming he would’ve succeeded

I like Winn a lot and I hope he is our SS for many years to come.
Now...if he is upset with the FO over the direction of the team that is his personal privilege.
But...if so....that is between him and the organization and they need to work that between them.
My personal feelings about Winn’s personal feelings is irrelevant.
And again...I hope he is a core player for the future.
