The trades were coming regardless

The team just laid down, lack of leadership in dugout

No Doubt.
Just wait til Sunday Morning. (Trade deadline day)

Then to the exiting players, "I thought I knew you. I thought I knew you. I thought I knew you. Oh well."

This is why those 12 games or so they gave away earlier this year has come back to bite them to the no big deal club when they lost those games. At least if they would've won half, they'd still be in a wildcard spot.

Was a good season.

As a pro, you should have enough pride to care. And a major league manager should be able to motivate. Its not like DeWitt, Bloom, or anyone else in the organization is walking into the clubhouse every day saying "You guys suck and won't be around in a few weeks!"

Whatever he does is not going to move the needle. The level of giddyness over trading spare parts is mystifying.
Of course they're spare parts. If they had an all-star team they wouldn't need to sell.

If a guy isn't seen as a part of the future and they can get something for him that can be part of the future, he's gotta go.

Sorry. I was too desperate to find a No Doubt song.

People come and go all the time. Doesn’t warrant several new threads a day and a victory lap.
