Team negatively affected by Bloom selling not supporting
“We could win every game for the rest of the year, and [Chaim Bloom] would still trade guys."
Masyn Winn is expecting the Cardinals to sell. His fellow young veteran leaders are somewhat more circumspect.”
J. Jones
As I’ve been writing most of the season….you don’t tell a group of young competitive athletes who have been winning to sacrifice their very few athletic career winning opportunities because they are “good enough”……when they were good enough for 2.5mths. This team quit because “they knew they could win every game to the end of season and Bloom would still trade guys”
Not sure what more you would need to read…..

Boo hoo.
Maybe if Mase didn't suck all year, we wouldn't be in this position.

So what should he not trade anyone? I guess if Masyn wants to stay a .500 teamGoldfan wrote: ↑28 Jul 2026 18:57 pm “We could win every game for the rest of the year, and [Chaim Bloom] would still trade guys."

Plenty. But if Winn could actually contribute a hit or two instead of trying to be ARod all the time, maybe we'd be up a few in the win column.Goldfan wrote: ↑28 Jul 2026 19:03 pmI’m assuming you’ve never played team sports….Strummer Jones wrote: ↑28 Jul 2026 19:02 pm Boo hoo.

He can take his whining to some other team. I hope he does.

This wasn’t a .500 team. They were winning and playing their (bleep) off despite no help from FO in offseason, a chit manager, and being told repeatedly that their teammates who were helping them win……WOULD BE TRADED. This team quit. And why not. The owner and FO gave no support and told them they weren’t good enough.Futuregm2 wrote: ↑28 Jul 2026 19:03 pmSo what should he not trade anyone? They weren’t told, “ you aren’t good enough “ they were told, “ it doesn’t matter how good you play, we aren’t ready to win yet. “Goldfan wrote: ↑28 Jul 2026 19:06 pmThis wasn’t a .500 team. The team winning this year doesn't fit their time line.

I get it about Winn….but it still conveys the mood of the young team.Strummer Jones wrote: ↑28 Jul 2026 19:05 pmPlenty. You don’t tell Pro athletes that…….they’ll quit to prove you right.Hoosier59 wrote: ↑28 Jul 2026 19:10 pmThey weren’t told, “ you aren’t good enough “ they were told, “ it doesn’t matter how good you play, we aren’t ready to win yet. “Goldfan wrote: ↑28 Jul 2026 19:06 pmThis wasn’t a .500 team. If there is somebody out there losing because they are disheartened that management is trying to improve the team, they have their heads screwed on wrong. This is not a real issue.

Well, drama queen alert. This is a rebuilding season. The players know this and nobody expects the guy being traded to be himself. They know anyone making good money was already gone and the team is not adding salary.Goldfan wrote: ↑28 Jul 2026 19:06 pmThis wasn’t a .500 team. I played baseball in college on a full ride. Masyn has not been great....what does that have to do with anything?Goldfan wrote: ↑28 Jul 2026 19:03 pmI’m assuming you’ve never played team sports….Strummer Jones wrote: ↑28 Jul 2026 19:02 pm Boo hoo.

You should explain in great detail to Winn how he should be agreeable to losing these last few season…..this season….and seasons into the future….and then how wonderful it will be.hugeCardfan wrote: ↑28 Jul 2026 19:11 pm If there is somebody out there losing because they are disheartened that management is trying to improve the team, they have their heads screwed on wrong.
