Thank goodness Svanson is still on the 26-man roster.

These types of roster moves have to stop. If this is the Bloom method, he is going to wear out his welcome quickly...Dobbins has earned his spot. What is he going to do in 5 days when Liberatore needs another piggyback ride?

nah - we can just blame it on Mo, Oli, BDW or even Mike Matheny ::crazya::

Maybe Dobbins takes over Quinn's starting spot on Thursday for Memphis and Quinn gets the call in a few days?

Not really. It makes sense because it effectively expands the roster beyond 26 players by using the Memphis shuttle to keep fresh bullpen arms available. This is modern baseball, starting pitchers are throwing fewer innings across the league, so we need to generate as many quality innings as possible from Memphis.

They can bring Dobbins right back if they trade someone.

These types of moves are smart, actually. And Dobbins is well aware…

Apparently Oli made a point to Jeff Jones that the 15 day option period can be waived after a trade or injury.

The Cardinals are down O’Brien and Romero. They could keep themselves down another pitcher by keeping Dobbins on the roster for now, but I’m not sure that’s a smart move.

Does that mean you're allowed to make trades before the day of the deadline? Asking for a friend named Mo.

Good chance Dobbins doesn’t even leave STL
