David Peterson LHP

vs L: 11.3 K/9, 1.9 BB/9, 1.26 WHIP, 3.35 FIP, 2.77 xFIP
vs R: 5.7 K/9, 4.8 BB/9, 1.71 WHIP, 4.52 FIP, 5.12 xFIP

Again, RHB *should* hit well today... We'll see...

Last time Cards hung 10 on Peterson over 3.2 IP. I’d take a 5 or 6 spot today.

In Cubs news they DFA’d Jameson Taillon today.

July 3rd. Church homered off Peterson that game, so too bad he's not playing

Hot. 96 current. 93 game time. Better tomorrow 90. Mid/upper 80’s rest of homestand.

Velazquez should have been put on a southward Greyhound by now. At least he's not in LF.

His OPS is .722 and he has a positive WAR.
Why?

The Cards have battered Peterson twice this year, once in NY, once in CHI.

If they can't smack him again, then Busch Stadium is a cursed environment for the local 9.

Thanks, was wondering with the storms in the Chicago area today. There's currently some power outages in some of the suburbs.

I get the same feeling from him when a basehit is needed in a crucial situation as I got from Gorman. He's worthless in the field. What are his July numbers?

haven't seen the Cubs lineup yet.
but even w/o seeing it, IMO it's better than what we're putting on the field.
Hate facing lefties, and opposing managers are smart enough to happily use them against us.

I don't know what to say, but who is the real centerfielder?

With that split JJW might want to try batting right.

Do I need to tell you how much I hate Walker hitting 2nd? The guy led the majors in rbi hitting 4th. Now hes a table setter.

If he bats 2nd for the rest of the season he may not finish with 100 rbi.
