blewitt was a placeholder. they didnt want to clog up another 40 man rosfer slot so they added a pitcher they wouldnt care if they dfad. they didnt want to add another player early and then risk losing an asset when they made a move to add a new 40 man roster player cuz they clogged up a roster slot calling up a prospect pitcher before they had to and that pitcher was ready for big leagues.
