Not concerned at all with Devo's development. He held his own with some tough matchups at a very young age. Would not be surprised to see him play RW and move to the 2nd line at some point this season. His one-timer sets up well from there. Hate to lose what looks to be a good face-off C though.
Situational moves to RW are one thing but any sustained significant ice time would be a move away from being a center. I don't see that, not based on his current development track.

Now, if Lawrence develops into a better center option (quite possible) and McTavish has long term viability then it might be a prudent move, but I sense Dvorsky's lack of speed would be a hindrance and he's likely going to be a very competent 200' center.

Dvorsky didn't lose his roster spot to McDavid. He lost it to a HIGHLY-SUSPECT Center from a mediocre franchise.

Dvorsky didn't lose his roster spot to a waiver wire acquisition. He lost it to young player that was acquired AT GREAT COST by the Blues.

Dvorsky didn't lose his roster spot for 2 years. He lost his roster spot for at least 5 years, the remaining length of McTavish's contract--assuming that Army knows talent.

The sum total of this situation should tell you all that you need to know about what the Blues currently think about Dvorsky's future. The Blues do not see Dvorsky as a 2C, and they made DESPERATE MOVES AT HIGH COST to try to find a replacement.

I enjoy that you’re on here day in and day out being so miserable. Your self inflicted pain is entertainment for all. You deserve every bit of it.

You need some “I think”s or “my guess is” in the above. You have presented it all as fact, and outside of the McDavid part, none of it is.

My speculation needs no more caveats than those who say that McTavish and McMichael are good solutions.

Think of it this way...

Many are happily relying 100% on what Army/Steen says. I'm telling you what to believe based on Army's actions. Which do you think is more accurate?

If there were others willing to help with exposing the truth, I wouldn't have to work so hard.

Here we have a poster that has spent more time posting emojis than he has in evaluating what Army/Steen are telling him via their actions.

Anybody see the 23 redraft from Wheeler?

https://www.nytimes.com/athletic/743358 ... -ios-share

Evaluators liked Dvorsky’s skill, sense and two-way commitment. The feet are just average, though. I think he has flown a little under the radar to non-Blues fans and is going to be a really solid contributor in a top nine and potentially on a second line for a long time. I was a little too high on him at draft time, though, and thought about ranking him a spot or two lower here.

I'm glad that I could give everyone advance notice about how the 2023 draft was shaking out for us.

Now you know.
