Dehydrated. I guess he has never heard of Gatorade?

Down to .242 with a .715 OPS. I warned someone boasting about his early .900 OPS that it wouldn't last. He is what he is. Trade him.

Bloom better move this guy while he can. He's an injury waiting to happen.

Not sure anyone wants him on the other teams.

You’ll always have people that think:

“If only he could be healthy for a full season”

“His trade value is low, might as well keep him”

“Next year will be his year”

And similar nonsense.

5 years spent waiting for Lars Nootbaar to become the player he never will become.

This is one that Melville had pegged from the start.

This is indeed the problem. Perhaps you get more than the provebial bag of balls for him, but not much. He is a meh starter, 4th OFer kind of player. Bloom may move him anyway becasue they know they are not going to pay him, but I don't expect a huge return. Maybe a potential lottery ticket if you are lucky.

Geez, you may be right. This deadline may not see much movement or improvement for StL.

No he will never be a .900 ops guy. Even an .800 OPS
is most likely a career year.

He is miss cast in either role. As a 3rd/4th OFer batting in the lower third
he can be that player pretty well. He can be a .750 OPS guy with about half coming from
OBP. I'd bat him 9th actually since he overtly hunts BB more than XBH.

theres teams that will be interested. but they wont be willing to give up much. you are justngetting some minor leaguebrandom player that could pan out in few years or completely flop.

he might be more useful if you are movinf him in a package with another player to get a good asset.

What really holds Noot back is that he does not get to hit against our staff.

Maybe the Dodgers have interest. Ohtani may want his buddy to hang out with.

Just curious. Which outfielders on the Cardinals team are better than Noot besides Walker?
Church is batting .125 with .219 slugging and .383 OPS. in July.
He’s .198 .250 .319 .569 since the start of June. He should be joining Scott 2 and Gorman in the minors.

My intent is not to pick on Church, but I wanna know who are our better outfielders than Nootbar right now?

For what it’s worth I hope they trade them too. But, me wanting a trade and me being able to tell you who our three outfielders should be is another story.
