I would have to assume when he signed in L.A. it was longer than a one year deal, but the details were not released publicly. It would be odd to replace a hall of fame broadcaster with an experienced guy on a one year contract.

But his father had a much better voice. And wasn't a snoozefest to listen to.

As someone that listened to Ron Jacober call games, be thankful for Kerbs.

JK was over-rated. It's the familiar connection that people are longing for.

To each their own, but I feel the complete opposite way. I’m watching the game so I don’t need someone to tell me the puck was dumped in. Like I know, I can see that. Pang had a good rapport with players and always told interesting stories. Kerbs and Vitale may go way off topic but they have some chemistry and I find them entertaining.

It’s become a moot point for me as I mute the sound until something happens, then rewind, unmute and listen to the call. Then re-mute. I guess that makes it a mute point.
