Probably Winn would be untouchable too, mainly because nobody in line to take over for him.

Everyone else? The phone lines are now open.
As Alice Cooper would sing- “ telephone is ringing!”
The team is certainly under SOMEONE'S wheels.

Very good sir. Funny you mention wheels in your point. Yes- as in just slip skidding along, or getting drug under the wheels. Skull drug.

Telephone is ringing!

My simple answer is anybody on the roster is available. For the right deal nobody is untouchable.

In reality I’d say JJ and Walker shouldn’t be traded. Everyone else is up for grabs.

The only way I would say a player is untouchable is if he was the best player in Major league baseball that couldn’t be replaced with a better talent.
JJ, Walker, probably Winn and Burleson. The rest can be had for a reasonable return. As for pitching....McGreevy, Pallante, Leahy. They've done okay. Probably will give Libertore more rope to hang himself further or get right. I've seen enough of May. As for relief? I'd say O'brien and Soriano have done the job. Jojo is okay. The rest are eminently and justifiably replaceable. And really need upgrading bad. The worse problem is that none of these are going to give you much in return. More castoffs that teams don't want or trust.

There she stood in the doorway.
I heard the mission bell.
I was thinking to myself,
This could be Heaven or this could be Hell.

JW, JJ, Winn, McG - are the closest to untouchable on the Cards.

The rest - call and make a proposal.

I'd focus on the expiring contracts first...listen to offers on everyone else...and I'd need to be knocked out of my socks to make those trades for the likes of Winn, Burley, Herrera, Pallante, Leahy, McGreevy, Liberatore, etc

I agree with your thoughts. But the thought of a giant hole at SS without Winn isn't pleasant.

Then why trade May. Makes no sense. Save 4 ish Million in salary, zero return.,

He has 12 starts left. That’s six wins.
Because the team isn't a playoff team. And getting a weak return is better than getting nothing when he leaves.

I would also not trade any of our prospects in the minors. I might add Burleson as an untouchable, though he would get a good return.

I hear ya. But a weak return is just a numbers game. We really attain nothing for May.

What if he finishes here, and don’t hurt himself. Does that change anything. Say he wins six more starts.

No, it doesn't change anything. He's always been hurt. And he isn't part of the future. And I would rather see if Dobbins or someone else may be part of the future.

How long were you in Sikeston?

KFVS tv- wpsd-and wsil was our three stations. Cape Paducah Harrisburg Illinois.

If you grew up 30 miles, that puts you from Cape, to Chaffee to dexter to portageville circle. Somewhere in there.

Yes, all those channels are on our TV. I usually watched KFVS since they covered MO more than the others.

I grew up in Stoddard county. And have several family in Oran. My grandmother lived just outside of Chaffee. My dad lived in Cape. My mom used to go to Dexter a lot since it was closer to shop there than Cape. I've been all over that area.
