The jump from AAA to MLB is BIG! When a talent like JJW comes along and thrives right away, it is rare. I fear that NV is just another guy who thrived in AAA and can’t make the jump. We’ve seen many. Let’s hope Josh Baez can make the jump. Too early to say on Church and Blaze.

Agree 100%. The advantage guys like Church and Baez have is plus athleticism. Speed and defense. They come to the ML with it. It gives them a much longer ramp time. It can take several years to adapt to major league pitching and learning to adjust to how they are being pitched. And all the eyes that are on them looking for their holes. JJ is the exception to the rule. Guys like Jordan and Velasquez have to become plus offensive players in a much shorter time frame -unless they are highly drafted players.
