This clown show has been going on too long - c’mon man. We deserve better than this minor league manager

Because either would almost certainly be worse than The Marmot.
And he is plenty bad enough as it is.
The TOXIC PAST is not the way to a better future.

I would prefer a manager from outside the organization. One who has an aggressive style.

They have Cult Hero Status in St Louis. Would make it very difficult to make a change if it wasn't working out.
Easy solution..Don't hire either as a manager.

How about hiring both as co-managers? Don't offend any of the faithful.Easy solution..Don't hire either as a manager.

Ding ding ding.
Don't hire someone you're not prepared to fire at any point.
Because the headline "CARDS FIRE BASEBALL LEGEND PUJOLS/MOLINA AFTER 5-27 START" gives me nightmares.

I thought when Bloom took over they could/should hire one of these two. My preference was Pujols. I've come to terms with the idea that they are not stuck with Oli. They like him, and they chose him. He is going to be here for awhile, maybe quite awhile. Therefore I devote very little energy to pondering Oli.

Great logic.
Don't hire somebody who could be great because you MIGHT have to fire them one day. That's ridiculous!

Didn't Yadi leave the team in the middle of a pennant race one year? Just to watch or coach another team? NO THANKS!

If you need to ask that question or know the details it doesn't really say much about your knowledge of whether Yadi should or shouldn't manage the team.

Do not hire either one, they have god status in this city as others have mentioned. They are legends. If they flame out as manager fans will be all over them like every other manager and potentially tarnish slightly how they are remembered.
It inevitably will lead to awkwardness

The timing isn’t right to change managers, especially bringing someone in from outside.
I think the current team culture is good, but the current team talent is getting exposed. A cold spell at hitting combined with a porous bullpen is a bad combo.
I think Bloom could do a manager change in the offseason. But I don’t think Marmols been the worst thing this season.

What has Pujols done to indicate he might be a great manager?Cardinals4Life wrote: ↑23 Jul 2026 21:29 pmGreat logic.![]()

I can't believe people really think a change of manager is going to do anything with the team that has been put together. Of all the major sports, I think a baseball manager has the least amount to do with wins/losses. We just ain't got the horses right now.
