No doubt

It's his crazy splits!

Men on Base
.283 .350 .474 .824

Runner on 1st
.361 .400 .574 .974

Runner on 2nd
.229 .386 .486 .872

Runner on 3rd
.333 .333 .667 1.000

Bases Loaded
.500 .333 1.250 1.583
i know the bases loaded split is really small sample size, but it just reminded me of so taguchis absolutely random domination when the bases were loaded.

so taguchi
career .279/.332/.385/.717

so taguchi career with bases loaded- 21 for 41- .512/.510/.707/1.217 8 doubles,

Amazing how some really average hitters eye's light up when they see the sacks jammed.

So knowing that, you know he isn't a table setter... duh, slow runner, etc... So why not bat him 5th instead of Noot? Oh wait, you cannot do that because it screws up your slavish devotion to LRLRLRLRLR. You know Blaze makes contact with guys on base. Put him in that situation in the lineup then. This comes back to Oli icing guys who are heating up again. He did it to Blaze, and now the kid is finally getting playing time. Why didn't he try him in a more RBI spot as he was heating up?

Well, first you have to consider it's still very SSS. Now if it continues for the rest of this season ......................

There you go bcc............Oli's lack of lineup construction ability has staggered me for years. ::crazya::

And Blaze does indeed put the bat on the ball, great KO rate (only 14 strikeouts in 95 PA's)!

Yes, but you are having trouble scoring runs lately, you should mix things up in the lineup. Not put the kid in the 8 hole or bury him on the bench. Maybe Blaze gets higher today in the getaway day lineup. Oli needs to treat today as a must win and stop the slide. Let's see who he puts out there.

Oli hasn’t done a lot of getaway day lineups this year.

it might be that with runners on, they have to pitch to him. Less breaking balls in the dirt to avoid a passed ball?

Surprised me to learn this. 18 rbis in first 25 games. Playing solid defense. I hope the power comes soon.
I'm willing to give him so more time. I would imagine that when he gets more comfortable and knowledgeable about the league that he would indeed improve.

He has two triples, I think. I'm not so sure he's that slow. I've seen him make it close on a grounder at first base. He's no speedster but Rolen and Reitz and others were far from speedsters. Add Arenado to that list.

I have been advocating for him to bat sixth, with Winn in the ninth spot.

Until Winn learns to stop sliding his right foot back when he swings, he should bat ninth.

Blaze had 99 RBI's last year across AA and AAA. I like what I'm seeing. Gorman has been a huge disappointment.
