Will we be told March win streak meant nothing?
Last year, Army warned us that the late season win streak meant nothing. Many thought that the Blues Roster was a building snowball that would bring even better results in the next year, and then Army kicked that snowball right into the bonfire. Army instead told us that every year the team has to "relearn how to win". Forget dynasty. Think struggle.
I had informed BluesTalk about this reality 4 or 5 months earlier, and few believed me. Essentially, "winning in March" tells you NOTHING about the team. That winning only serves to spoil draft position.
And now HERE WE ARE AGAIN? Ready to do it all over again. Will Steen tell us this year that the March winning meant nothing for 2026/27?

Nublues provides a reply to his friends. I'll provide a reply to the hockey experts.
The poor draft position maintained every year during the GREAT REWHATEVER, prevented the Blues from accomplishing anything of lasting and true value. A re-whatever is supposed to be where you reestablish a new young impressive CORE, and the NHL Draft is HOW EVERY NHL TEAM acquires that--except the Blues. The Blues chose instead to use those years to gather potential 3rd- and 4th-line talent.
Now we are paying the price for that exceptionally poor decision. The next 5 years will bring a repeat of the last 4 years.
Let's update the history books. During the Blues great re-whatever, Celebrini, Schaefer, and other HOFers came in the league, and because of ARMY the Blues HAD NO CHANCE and NO SNIFF at that excitement. Instead, Blues fans get the McBooby prize: MacTavish and McMichael.

It's probably the only time Army told us the truth.

Ha ha, yes. That is very true.
One other time that Army told us the truth is when he said that the Blues best players are being outplayed by the other team's best players when the games matter.

The OP continues to ignore the fact that prior to the lotteries, the ‘25 Islanders and ‘26 Blues were in nearly the same drafting position. Yet, somehow the Isles did it the right way and the Blues failed.

1) The guy that is allegedly unaware that the Blues and Islanders were in the same position in 25/26?
2) The guy that is allegedly unaware that getting a TOP5 pick INSTANTLY AND DRASTICALLY improves the trajectory and vibes of a franchise for the long-term?
Hint: The Islanders have Schaefer. The Blues have the McBooby Prize: McTavish and McMichael.
