Just wanted to say I'm officially done with all my treatments and am cancer free. I've officially survived stage 4 colon cancer and stage 3 stomach cancer. Just wanted to thank you guys in here. A lot of you had nice words of support and encouragement and sent prayers. It all helped and I appreciated it more than you know. I didn't have much family support throughout this. On with life... Thank you guys!

Congratulations! Sorry to hear about the lack of support. If you don't mind, how did you beat it? It claimed my mother years ago and I since learned it's one of the easier cancers to head off through early testing, but I am curious how they're attacking it today.

Surgery (whipple procedure), 6 months of chemo and a lot of luck. My colon cancer was pretty advanced and was close to being terminal. I got lucky that it was found when it was. I'm only in my 50's and that was a big factor in my survival. Had I been older it would have been much more difficult to recover from. None of this was easy. Not one step of this was easy. I'm sorry to hear about your mom Tbone.

Wow. Odds of beating the colon stage 4- 14-16 percent...odds of beating stage 3 stomach- 25 to 39 percent...pretty wild. There is a reason you are still here. Congrats.
