Its gotten so bad that I’ve been excited for EA’s rehash of NHL22…

Which, if they were smart…
Ive been debating it. Didnt play last year. They design the game modes to be a second job so im not sure if i want to invest.
I spent the first few weeks of the season in a hospital, but found myself playing Hockey Legacy Manager (HLM26); which is a simulation style phone app.

I’ve seen some elements of EA’s NHL 26 that are at least interesting from a game play perspective like unique Home experiences and the announcers are Buccigross & Pang. However, I would rather hold out for a significant sale at this point than pre-order due to their history of releasing a buggy, copy/paste product that mostly amounts to roster refreshes
1000% every year they do the early release and every year its tge same complaints.
I just have a hard time getting into video games now. Its siluch a time commitment to the grind and i just dont have the time. Plus the $.

I feel that. Especially with the in-game monetization of features that were once standard parts of the game.

My youngest (5) is into video games and my oldest (8) is already a die hard Blues fan. So, there’s a level of desire. However, that’s a big gamble because time spent playing a video game solo feels like a waste. If either decides it’s not for them, then it’ll just collect dust.

I used to play HUT offline with my dad 10+ years ago back when there were contract cards. Those were some great times. Didnt care about anything but hanging with my pops
