Sure :) The outlook and status of our high draft pick in 2023 is of no interest to any Blues fan.

It's never good to put the pom pom squad next to the Coach's desk.
I'm a Blues fan, longer than you. I've seen ALL of Dvorsky's games. I'm quite aware of his "status".

Fans cheer FOR their team and the players.
Do you ever compare hockey in St Louis versus other cities? Do you ever feel like St Louis is getting the leftovers while other cities gets steak?
First, you admittedly don't watch and are not a fan. What could you possibly know about DD? Please tell me what parts of his game are holding him back and why you don't think he will develop further.
I will tell you that having a superstar on 'your team' is not all that it is cracked up to be. The team often becomes far too dependent on the one guy and suffers for years.

Consider St Louis Cardinals baseball with NO Musial. No Gibson. No Pujols. It wouldn't be nearly the same, would it?

A permanent long-term ZERO NEW HOFer situation is what the Blues are 1000% embracing. I'm not going to stand for that. That will destroy Blues hockey in this city. It would kill any sport in any city. Everyone on BluesTalk should be screaming like me about this IMO.

You do realize you just completely obliterated whatever point you were trying to make in terms of draft position, correct?

He doesn't have a clue. He thinks Toronto's outcome (winning the lottery) is the secret strategy that the Blues need to follow (of course his HoF cardinals weren't top 5 drafts, but stupid analogy anyway).

While the Blues were in "re-whatever mode", Celebrini went to the Sharks, and Schaefer went to the Islanders, and etc etc etc. Meanwhile, the Blues WERE NOT EVEN SITTING AT THE BIG BOY TABLE. We were sitting with the kids, eating hotdogs and ho-ho's.

More deflection. You are such a coward. You are worried about the Big Boy table and you won’t leave the toddler’s tea party table. And I will also add the Isles picked Schaeffer while finishing exactly where the Blues did this year. Again, your idiocy is unrivaled.

Not a bad problem to have. Not to mention the drafted centers arent ready they will take a while to develop. We shall see. Too early to make predictions or to react to a future problem or non problem.
It sure is.

If you have more centers than you can use, you can deal from the top or bottom of the deck.

The most unquantifiably (that's likely not a real word) interesting part about the best trolls is how they're just irresistible to people. Don't get me wrong, I'm not above it, I'm just fascinated by it.

I liken it to the first spring breeze coming in through the screen door after a long winter. Unexpected. Impossible to ignore. Refreshing. Truth is always like that--especially when you have been dining on nothing but fake greens. You should try it.

I noticed Hockeydb now has DVO listed as a RW, which is surprising since he played C all season. I also noticed that they have him on the 3rd line RW on the depth chart and Suter at center. STL is so insignificant that they can’t even get the players position correct.

I also noticed that DVO’s CF% was the same as Snuggies. This is a good sign. If DVO ups his production this year I will have a lot more confidence of his future in the top 6. He was definitely getting matched up against the other teams top line on the road last year. Hope to see some growth this year!

Dvorsky was 20 years old when the season ended and is currently in 10th points in his draft class. Yeah he sucks.....

In 2023, the Blues needed to parlay their highest draft pick in 20 years into a new TOP6 CORE PLAYER CENTER. They failed at the goal by selecting Dvorsky. McTavish is living proof of that.

Dvorsky didn't fail. Doug Armstrong did.

So what is Dvorsky instead? That is now the question.

I think Dvorsky will eventually be the 2nd line center and push Mctavish to the wing. Robert Thomas didn’t break out till his D+5 year and Dvorsky is only entering his D+4 year. He has plenty of time to gain strength and improve his first step quickness.

Not concerned at all with Devo's development. He held his own with some tough matchups at a very young age. Would not be surprised to see him play RW and move to the 2nd line at some point this season. His one-timer sets up well from there. Hate to lose what looks to be a good face-off C though.
