Jake neighbors
8x7 million
Jimmy

Jake would sign that but Jimmy wouldn’t nor should he.

We’re not getting Snuggy for anything less than 10. We should in no way give JN 7. He’s a good player, heart and soul guy, but that contract is a big overpay.

We all hope Snuggy has the production to earn that, but that’s no given yet. Everyone here moaned when the Blues locked up Thomas and Kyrou after a short time now you want to turn around and hand it to Snuggy?Backesdraft wrote: ↑17 Jul 2026 09:21 amWe’re not getting Snuggy for anything less than 10. Snuggerud will likely bet on himself and he'll very likely cash in big. He's the real deal.

Re: Jake And Jimmy's next contracts
This year will have a lot to say on the contracts.
Jake could make 7 if he's mid 20's in goals and gets 20-30 assists. But I 'd prefer 5 years on the term and no trade limitations.
Snuggerud if he puts up 25+g and 35+ assists he's going to get paid. My guess you go max term and $11-12m and a NTC.

The new max lengths for NHL contracts are 7 years if player is re-signing with current team and 6 years if player is signing with new team as a free agent. Part of new/updated CBA.

7x6 for neighbors
7x10 for snuggy
The the glass ceiling was broken by Leo and his 18 million.
Also signing robert thomas to 8.25 looks like a steal right now... doesnt it

Re: Jake And Jimmy's next contracts
People talk about these two and Hofer. They had better take care of Mailloux too. I don't know when he is offer sheet eligible, but he would be a prime target for the same reasons the Blues gave up Bolduc to get him.

Logan Mailloux is signed to a one-year, $850,000 contract extension with the St. Louis Blues that carries an $850,000 average annual value (AAV) and expires at the end of the 2026-27 season. He will be a restricted free agent (RFA) in 2027.
me thinks this will be the very next contract probably a bridge deal around 2-3 years 3 mil

Re: Jake And Jimmy's next contracts
Nobody was moaning when Thomas signed. It was Kyrou that was the issue. And the view that Thomas was a proactive bargain has been more than vindicated, I'd say.netboy65 wrote: ↑17 Jul 2026 09:25 amWe all hope Snuggy has the production to earn that, but that’s no given yet. Do the same with Snuggy. Dude has 55 points in his first 77 games, playing on a team that struggled to score. He's also 6'2", so he has the size to take a hit - and we've seen him engage physically at both ends already. If you can get him locked up for under 11M, that's a win in my book. He should be a PPG winger for the majority of his next contract, one without many obvious flaws.

Mailloux will get 5-6 on a bridge. Maybe more. Top 4 guys aren't taking less.Nublues69 wrote: ↑17 Jul 2026 10:24 amLogan Mailloux is signed to a one-year, $850,000 contract extension with the St. Louis Blues that carries an $850,000 average annual value (AAV) and expires at the end of the 2026-27 season. Honestly don't know what type of player Neighbors is... a try-hard with skill or JAG. Yeah he's got solid personality, but he needs to execute.
This season should dictate his value....I don't know if I would feel comfortable committing now to one notion or the other.

Re: Jake And Jimmy's next contracts
He's played 20ish good games in the NHL. I saw Kessel and Tucker play good for stretches of games as well and they're not top 4 D. We definitely should be taking a wait and see approach with Mailloux. Maybe the lightbulb went off and it's all up from here which will be a huge win for us. Maybe it's more up and down before he settles down to being a top 4. Then again maybe we just saw the best 20 game stretch he'll every play in the NHL and it's more like the beginning of the season.Army's Mom wrote: ↑17 Jul 2026 10:34 amMailloux will get 5-6 on a bridge.
