That’s a shame I was told by some on cards talk the home run derby would ruin walkers career even though he has said he’s been a lot of home run hitting competitions so I guess now they will have no bats

I saw on sports central they said gorman between Memphis and the majors has struck out 58 times in his last 108 at bats now that’s some unicorn numbers there

unfortunately he's a lost cause in this org. You can't hardly trade him he has zero value. He just couldn't make adjustments. I hate to say it but he's still mildly young. Maybe he finds something. Quite a few here myself included didn't have a lot of faith in Walker turning it around and he has. But Gorman is older, if it was going to happen i think it already would.

i could see him going to another org and hitting 20 homeruns at some point, but it will come with a horrendous strikeout rate, zero defense and probably a negative war.

He’s also 10 for his last 108 between MLB and AAA. That’s a .093 batting average since May 20th. Almost 2 months.

The falling offensive numbers are not a surprise, and were expected (at least by the veterans here).
Many of these guys are rookies, who have never played this much in their careers.
It is also the dog days of summer-it takes an incredible toll on players who have to go out every day. There is an element of shell shock to working your asz off, and wilting in 90-100* heat and humidity on a regular basis.
Will they come back around? Maybe-we shall see.

Agreed, the team is young and inexperienced with the full grind of an MLB season. The break came at a perfect time IMO

Good lord they didn’t mention that lol I also saw a Randy Karraker video and someone in the chat asked him if the cardinals would stick with Gorman because of the break out by walker and he said no he said they are frustrated by him because he’s resistant to the process and not listening and the reason they stuck with walker was he finally started listening and buying into the process. It defeats Mel’s argument that the cardinals screwed Gorman up

Brewers July 6-9
Braves July 10-12

Hard to say when we don't have much insight into the actual ops, but the coaching staff and front office/analytics should have individual game plans for each hitter including how the opposing starter and relievers will likely attack them. I know they look at pitch mix and pitch shape for each pitcher, but I haven't seen what level of detail is available/provided to each player

I remember hearing they amped up the machine to get ready for Miz on Monday, so maybe that has thrown off everyone's timing (except Walker)
