Perfetti

Post by leedog68 »

signs for 5 years x $6 mil. Not sure how that relates to McMichael since he is a C. About the same age but less productive.

McM 25yrs old
GP 315 G 67 A 87 P 154 +4

Perfetti 24yrs old
GP 290 G 59 A 98 P 157 +29

McM should be in the same range. Being a year older means we're buying one more year of UFA years but Perfetti is listed as a C and on a per game basis slightly more productive over his career. I have 5 x 6.25 predicted in another thread but I'm hoping it's more like 5 x 5.75. I don't see any way he comes in much over 6M if that. Glad some of these are getting done ahead of McM. Krebs and now Perfetti.

I’m guessing McMichael’s agent is asking for $7 mil, the Blues are offering $6 mil, and so everyone can feel good settling at $6.5 mil after seeing the Perfetti deal.

Looks to me like McMichael ought to be at 5x6 same as Perfetti

Yeah it's a pretty good comp short of the plus/minus but balanced by the center ice time.

I like the 6.5 conclusion you made. Maybe just under?

That’s a really good comp. Anything between $6-6.5m seems fair in my book. Even though I’d prefer something less, that seems to be the going rate.

That's a solid comp and helps keep him below 7, which is good.

Exept McMichael fairly clearly isn't a center.

And the other thing that isn't being discussed (yet anyway) is what if McTavish is (bleep) poor at center. Then we'll have so much money tied up in left wingers (including a deal for Neighbours), I'm not sure where we could play them all. Or just suffer with McTavish as the next Buchnevich playing center, while being much better at wing.

McTavish is actually a center though. Buchnevich was always a winger who we pushed to play center.

Neighbours--maybe Perfetti is a good comp for him?
Similar numbers?
