Lindstein parayko
Fowler carlo
Jiricek

Thats good. Losing neighbors or otger assest juat isnt good right now
I would assume any deal would likely send Lindstein the other way.
rumors seem to involve an ask of taking kotkniemi (sp?) back- bad contract longterm and including either dvorsky or neighbors. I doubt the blues want to do either, so I doubt it happens. They could and probably have offered a good package but the ask isn't lining up as of now.
dvorsky and lawerence are out of the question end of story
I think the blues love Neighbors so I don't see that happening either
great third line power forward that can move up the lines
Yeah, well that is like, your opinion, man....but really it isn't the blues opinion so that is just the reality
Well he is penciled into the third line. SOOOOOO my opinion seems like reality we will see when the lins move forward. He is a 25 goal scorer that doesnt scream top 6 bro

I think I misunderstood what you were trying to say. Thought you were dissing him. Some on here think we should just trade him or not re-sign him. I don't think that is what you were saying.

No I wouldn't get rid of him at all we need hard working 25 goal scorers that go to the paint. honestly i would put him with carbs and dvorsky have the mics and Stenberg and cut anchor from Buch when they are ready

holloway thomas snuggerud
Mcmichael mctavish stenberg
neighbors dvorsky carbonnaeu

Lawerence will be about 2 years away

I know that Nikishin is big and appears to be a real good player -- certainly had a good first season statistically and part of a championship. But there is something about Lindstein that gives me pause to even think about moving him...but rather keep him in the lineup here. He is very well-rounded skill-wise and has very good instincts and hockey sense. I'm not saying Top Pairing, or certainly not yet. But my sense is he will have a long career and be a very reliable and valuable player. And if I'm wrong, well then deal with it then. But not now.
Why does Carolina want to move Nikishin? If their motivation is to rid another bad contract, then why the urgency to solve that problem for them? Why trade for what some might think is a bad contract for someone else's bad contract? I get a "hockey trade" to fill respective holes in the lineup.
And do we not have some big defensemen that look to have similar potential as Nikishin, albeit it maybe 1-2 years from now?...(I'm thinking Lukas Fischer or possibly other recent draft prospects?)
Yes, our team is getting better and I think/hope that we can get into the playoffs this coming season, but we are still likely a few years away from being considered near the top of the heap...and I think Lindstein would likely be a reason for that thinking then.

Id do a Lindstein and a 1st for Nishikin and wouldn’t think twice. Anytime you have an opportunity to upgrade without getting bent over, you do it…and Nishikin would be a BIG upgrade.

I want no part of JK for the next 4 years. Locking bottom six guys long term at 5M per is how irresponsible teams operate. No wonder CAR wants to unload him.

No you wouldn’t because Kotkaniemi sucks whereas Buch is just overpaid. Kotkaniemi would be in the press box most of the time.

Thank you for elaborating my thoughts. I was laughing so loud I couldn't get past LOL.

Hey, no question Kotkaniemi needs a career reset. Big gamble, Finley, Walker, and Toro might all beat him out.

Are we bored?

Trade for the sake of making a trade. Blues have no use for this situation/players.
Not a thing.

Title of thread:
Blues are rumored to "not" be pursing Nikishin.

Why would we need either?
Why would we overpay a player with one year in the NHL?
Why would we need JK? We just rid ourselves of one JK--do we need another?
Our D is very nice already with more help on the way in Lindstein and Jiricek.

Well, it's the offseason first and foremost. It's also the bright shiny object syndrome or for some simply deep discussion of a signifigant player on the block (re: Chychrun). For some, an opportunity to dig at the home team players and management, i.e., wall graffiti in our forum art museum.

Nikishin quite possibly could be an upgrade over Lindstein and the other LD prospects, I'll leave that to the Blues scouting department. Still, what we saw of Lindstein was quite promising, already better than the others not named Broberg. How big is the gap and is it worth the known and rumored cost?

Let us pay our players when it comes time. Lindstein--I wanna know what he is before trading him. He's cost controlled--thats huge.
I dont want some Russian looking to cash in after 1 yr. Id like to see another year of Nikishin before paying him the bucks.

I would roll the dice with Lindstein. Fans love homegrown drafted players. Lindstein is a smarter choice in this case.
Blues need to keep Lindstein and Jiricek. No trades needed.
