Interesting Mid-Season Tynan Lawernce Evaluation Video

Post by TBone »

This video was produced around the time he jumped to Boston College.

The idea that he was challenging McKenna for the top spot just 5 months ago is intriguing.

He fits several criteria for a draft slider who should outperform his draft slot.

The goal with a first-round selection is to find a "CORE PLAYER THAT COULD WIN YOU A STANLEY CUP".. Outperforming draft slot is the stuff of Kyrou. Haven't you learned this lesson yet?!!! How many more Kyrous and Thomas's and Dvorskys do you need to watch on the ice?

That said, the video is very encouraging. It was all great to see. Thanks for sending.

Somebody find a bucket for "Smell of a Core Player". The Blues have an overabundance of overpaid guys that they call "CORE PLAYERS", and the rest of the league would call "Middle6". We could drop Dvorsky in there now that we see the outrageous number of new 2Cs the Blues added to the roster.

Players are going to be routinely getting $10-12 million a year plus going forward and the blues have overpaid guys on their roster?

Why are you here? You said for the 43rd time you were giving up on the blues and hockey back around the draft. This makes you not just a liar, but a chronic liar with zero integrity. Your opinions mean nothing to anyone.

Let's talk hockey, eh?

You name the Blues players that are the CORE PLAYERS CAPABLE OF CARRYING THEM TO A CUP.

I'll name the fake CORE PLAYERS that are therefore overpaid for the Blues.
Kyrou is gone now, but we still have Buchnevich, Parayko, McTavish, Fowler, and Suter. None of them will ever put their name on the Cup, and yet they are our highest-paid players.

IMO if he stayed in the USHL he probably would have been top 5 (as IMO he probably would have been higher than Caleb on most boards), but the move to BU mid-season impacted his stock (great for us)...

It will be interesting to watch what happens at BU next season, as both he and Caleb will be on the same squad...

On The Athletic Scott Wheeler just listed the top 100 prospects and had Lawrence in Tier 2 at 27. He had Malhotra in the same tier at 8. It will be interesting to see if Lawrence plays above Malhotra in BC's lineup this year. Wheeler also had Dvorsky at 37 and Carbonneau at 39 in Tier 3, and Jiricek at 82 in Tier 5

"If a tree fall in the forest . . .". It will, though, be interesting to see how BC plays this.

jiricek was one of the best dmen in the ohl last year. Dont worry he will get plenty of playing time in ahl and be with club if fowler gets hurts or if tucker screws the pooch

Geesh! Do you ever have a hockey take that is ever close to being accurate? 55 already has his name on the cup, and at 6.5million, any team in the league would be happy to have him on their team.

Thanks for sharing.

I will keep saying I think Tynan Lawrence is a great pick by the Blues. I feel he was always the #1 center in this draft. He has had a stutter step. But he had that while taking on new challenges head on trying to improve his abilities. That is 100% the kind of guy I see as a prospect I want to support. You include the age and how he has played to date and I feel it is a miracle the Blues got Tynan Lawrence 11th overall.

My money is on a solid top 5, maybe even top 3 redraft ranking for 5 years from now. I can't wait to see him get their as a Blue!!
