That being said, I wouldn't be happy if they thought it was a starting a role which they clearly don't. If he were to not clear waivers, than that just says the Blues signed a guy that the rest of the league think is a NHLer at a league minimum, which again goes to show the Blues made a smart move. I think Sunny's role is ultimately to be a player coach on the ice and We will see him with otter at some point if not right away.
Fan are just wondering what the game plan is. He's not a regular anymore. He just had another injury. I think many of us thought it was time to be a scout or a coach vs signing a two way contract
He'll likely spend the first 2-3 months in rehab, which will give the younger guys an opportunity to establish, and if they don't then he takes the spot in the pressbox most nights instead of a young guy doing it.
