Canes owner puts his kids' names on the Cup

Panthers owner started the trend but this guy listed all of his kids. Staff members and players that contributed left off.

That the names were approved is beguiling. A 7 year old? This is stupidity. Players next year should take a blow torch out on the ice and erase those names b4 lifting the cup.

According to Rivers on the Fast Lane yesterday, the NHL does not get a list of names prior to the engraving. At least one instance the HOF had the name of a person "Xed" out in the past. If true, it's time the NHL approves the list prior to the engraving.

He ripped out the Hardess ice plex in the valley and put in a Top Golf.

Engraving names on the cup that had no involvement in winning it at the expense of team players or team employees cheapens the cup in my opinion. No one should get their name on it by buying their way on it or having the luxury of knowing the owner. On any trophy or in any sport. Just where does one draw the line?
