Re: CT Fantasy Baseball - Interested?
Projected End of Year Standings as of June 9
Methodology - Calculated R/GP, RBI/GP, HR/GP, and SB/GP for each team, then assumed each team would get to a full complement of 1782 GP (which may be overpredicting for Alex, Fever, gg, and What considering how far off pace they are right now), to get total R, RBI, HR, and SB for season. Assumed AVG and OPS did not change.
Calculated W/IP, SV/IP, K/IP, and QS/IP for each team, then assumed each team would get to a full complement of 1500 IP (which may be overpredicting for CPC and gg considering how far off pace they are right now), to get total W, SV, K, and QS for season. Assumed ERA and WHIP did not change.
Matt M - 142
Jeffrey - 121.5
gg - 121 (possible overprediction on both GP and IP)
QV - 111.5
What - 109 (possible overprediction on GP)
AOF - 107.5
DJ - 105.5
Fever - 102.5 (possible overprediction on GP)
YBI! - 102.5
ima - 98
Trader - 92.5
Richie - 67.5
Alex - 60.5 (possible overprediction on GP)
CPC - 58 (possible overprediction on IP)
Daze - 54

Re: CT Fantasy Baseball - Interested?
Public service announcement
For those paying attention to such things, it looks like there are only effectively about 104 game-days (once you subtract the All-Star Break) left in the season.
So if you have any positions at about a -9 or -10 (or -27 to -30 for OF/UTIL), with 103, 104, etc. games left to be played to the limit, you're going to have a hard time making use of them all.

Re: CT Fantasy Baseball - Interested?
Quincy, I should congratulate you on your Bregman trade.
You turned Bregman, who's been pretty bad this year, and getting worse month-by-month (April OPS .721, May OPS .687, June OPS .645) - with no peripherals (xwOBA .316 vs. wOBA .313) suggesting he's due to get better - into a top closer in Iglesias. Yahoo's projected .799 OPS for Bregman the rest of the way seems optimistic, to say the least.
I would have offered Alex more than that for him had I known.

I would trade Austin Riley for a SP. You would be gambling on Riley having a much better second half. I need QS though.

Re: CT Fantasy Baseball - Interested?
I, at least, don't have much intention of touching my seven SPs (Wheeler, Luzardo, Gray, Suarez, Valdez, King, and Bradley). I think I can ride those seven all the way to the end. Over the last month, Valdez has been the worst of them with a 3.86 ERA and 1.31 WHIP.

I'm also anxiously awaiting getting Acuna back after he's missed the last month.

If you have any soon-to-be-injured players, they’re a perfect fit for my team. Pasquantino, Garcia and Altuve all went to the IL within a week after I traded for them.mattmitchl44 wrote: ↑13 Jul 2026 08:20 amI do seem to be taking some of the suspense out of this season.Quincy Varnish wrote: ↑13 Jul 2026 08:03 amYou’re ruining baseball.mattmitchl44 wrote: ↑13 Jul 2026 05:26 amThis thread had been too quiet all season. I'm kind of hoping for Marte, Uribe, maybe even Moreno to get dinged up a bit and end up on the IL for a while so I can activate Acuna, Suarez, and Chapman sometime pretty shortly after the A-S break.Quincy Varnish wrote: ↑13 Jul 2026 08:35 amIf you have any soon-to-be-injured players, they’re a perfect fit for my team. Props to you because seeing your score actually made me go figure out what the highest possible score would be. It's 180. Maybe you've got a shot?
