Jiricek is #1. Kaskimaki may be in the top 10, but not top 5. Trudeau at 10 is hilarious, though.

Re: Blues Top Ten prospects
I agree. Since there’s been an influx of prospects because of recent trades and draft picks, I can accept that someone like Juraj Pekarčík, Jakub Stancl, and Adam Jecho may have fallen out of the Top 10. However, from the Forwards perspective, I would have a guy like Juraj over Trudeau.
Also, no love for Ralph on that list? He actually accumulated more points in less games at the AHL than Felix.
btw, does anyone know if Jecho was injured last season? I assume he was since there was a drop in games and performance in comparison to the prior year…

Re: Blues Top Ten prospects
Ha, I was like "Trudeau? Atenwho?"
Seems they counted prospects who played NHL games and who seem to be NHL players as graduated.
They've got no Love, and I might put Steiner over Trudeau if I made a list. At least one of the Russian prospects will climb into the top-10 once they come over and establish themselves. Army is bullish on Buchelnikov, and Koromyslov is here. Susuyev looks like a player to me from what I've seen, but that isn't much.
With recent additions, some of those other prospects seem to be overshadowed a bit. In all the discussion recently, I've been thinking where Stancl/Pekarcik/etc fit, and what Steen things of them. A bottom-6 of Stenberg, Stancl, Pekarcik, Kaskimaki, Jecho, and Peterson could probably get it done. I think the first three could be a great 3rd line with established chemistry, but I also like Stenberg on Dvorsky's wing, maybe with Carbs on the other side.
Should be a fun camp and season between both the Blues and Thunderbirds.

As of July 7, 2026, the Blues have one of the NHL's stronger prospect systems, with a good blend of high-end forwards, a potential top-pair defenseman, and improving organizational depth. My rankings weigh NHL ceiling (50%), probability of reaching that ceiling (30%), and proximity to the NHL (20%). They also account for the Blues' 2026 draft additions.
Rank Prospect Position Why he's ranked here
1 - Justin Carbonneau RW Elite offensive upside with top-line scoring potential. Projects as a legitimate 30-40 goal NHL winger if development continues. Most scouts view him as the organization's highest-ceiling prospect.
2 - Adam Jiříček RD Potential top-pair defenseman with size, mobility, and excellent puck movement. If healthy, he could become the Blues' No. 1 right-shot defenseman.
3 - Matvei Korotky C High-end two-way center with excellent hockey sense. Projects as a middle-six center with upside for more if his offense continues to develop.
4 - Tynan Lawrence C Selected 11th overall in the 2026 Draft. Strong skating, complete 200-foot game, and projects as a top-six NHL center. His combination of floor and upside places him immediately near the top of the system.
5 - Felix Trudeau LW Creative offensive winger with excellent puck skills and vision. Could become an impactful second-line playmaker if he adds strength.
6 - Maddox Dagenais LW The Blues' other first-round selection in 2026 brings size and finishing ability. Boom-or-bust profile but legitimate top-six upside.
7 - Colin Ralph LD Reliable two-way defenseman who projects as a second-pair NHL defender. High hockey IQ and dependable defensive game raise his floor.
8 - Jimmy Snuggerud RW Although close to becoming an NHL regular, he still qualifies as a prospect in many rankings entering 2026-27. Elite shot and NHL-ready offensive instincts make him one of the safest bets in the system. His ranking is lowered only because he has largely graduated.
9 - Dalibor Dvorský C Similar to Snuggerud, Dvorský is on the verge of full-time NHL duty. Excellent scoring instincts and power-play ability project to a productive top-six role.
10 - Landon Nycz C Fourth-round pick with strong skating and competitive habits. Lower ceiling than the players above but intriguing long-term upside after an impressive draft year.
Just outside the Top 10
Jakub Stancl – Strong two-way center with NHL potential.
Aleksanteri Kaskimäki – Smart, skilled center developing in Europe.
Lukas Fischer – Mobile defenseman with middle-pair upside.
Otto Stenberg – Dynamic offensive talent whose consistency will determine his NHL role.
Organizational outlook
The Blues' system is particularly strong because it has:
Multiple potential top-six forwards (Carbonneau, Lawrence, Dvorský, Snuggerud).
A potential No. 1 defenseman in Jiříček.
Several NHL-caliber middle-six and middle-pair contributors.
Increased depth after adding two first-round forwards in the 2026 draft.

I actually like where Snuggerud is on the ChatGPT list. If we are talking prospect value we are speculating to the value over their career. Given that I would place Carbonneau (40G potential), Jiříček (#1RD potential), and Lawrence (#1 or #2 dare we say selke realm center) over Snuggerud (scoring RW with excellent work ethic) or Dvorsky (who needs to show us he can do, or what we think he can do). I am a big Dvorsky fan, but he needs to own the #3C this year.zoiks wrote: ↑08 Jul 2026 21:29 pmIf the young guys with 1 season or less NHL experience qualify for the list, I think it should be:dr0zombie wrote: ↑08 Jul 2026 21:27 pmI will disagree. The clanker rating Snuggerud the Blues’ 8th best prospect automatically makes its list worthless.
And kudos to the Clone Wars reference, if you intended one.

Re: Blues Top Ten prospects
And still hasn't played a full season's worth of games(77 total games played, 55 points).UMR-alum-05 wrote: ↑08 Jul 2026 21:35 pm Any list calling Snuggerud a prospect is immediately invalid at this point. He just scored 51 points.
It depends on how you define a "prospect".
There really aren't any set rules for what qualifies a player as a "prospect".
Which is why I typically defer to a higher source. Either the old HF standards or simple Calder eligibility.
(Snuggy is "graduated" by both standards but I can at least understand why some people would still include him. Although if you are going to include him you have to include Mailloux(75 games played) also.)
