Re: Shane Wright
Would have had way more interest in this had we not traded for McTavish. Unless the blues really would rather McTavish play the wing, we suddenly don’t need a top 9 center…not that you can ever have too many centers. But with RT, Dvo, and McTavish, where does Wright fit?

Re: Shane Wright
It's not probably not a fit for the Blues because of what Seattle will want. But Wright could play RW.Backesdraft wrote: ↑05 Jul 2026 08:49 am Would have had way more interest in this had we not traded for McTavish. What are considered his strengths and weaknesses and why are they shopping him?

Re: Shane Wright
If Wright plays the wing then that could shape up nicely.
Hollywood - RT - Snuggy
JN - McTavish - Wright
Mcmichael - Dvo - Buch
Johnston - Suter - Torp
Mix and match those lines of course, but I also think Stenberg makes the opening night roster, so where would he fit? Interesting to play around with the possibilities…

Re: Shane Wright
It's an idea to get a young right handed shot in here.

If they would, then it’s a question of which player shows the most potential at this point….I’ll keep Dvo.

It would have to be a low price because Wright has proven absolutely nothing. I’m not against giving him a shot, but not giving up much to get him.

agreed. they'll want a lot due to his draft pedigree, but not worth much due to his underperformanceFrank Underwood wrote: ↑05 Jul 2026 09:14 am It would have to be a low price because Wright has proven absolutely nothing. I’m not against giving him a shot, but not giving up much to get him.

Re: Shane Wright
He was picked 4th OA and is currently 5th OA in points and the only reason that is the case is because an undersized d dropped way down and has put up more points.moose-and-squirrel wrote: ↑05 Jul 2026 09:40 amagreed. they'll want a lot due to his draft pedigree, but not worth much due to his underperformanceFrank Underwood wrote: ↑05 Jul 2026 09:14 am It would have to be a low price because Wright has proven absolutely nothing. They would argue Dvo is under performing his draft class more than Wright but obviously Dvo came from a better class

Re: Shane Wright
If Wright gets top 6 minutes and PP time, he will put up 60pts. I know people love to hate on the guy but the fact is, he’s a pretty good player when given the opportunity and he didn’t always get that chance in Seattle. I’m not saying he doesn’t have any warts, most players do.
