Blues sign Ross Johnston

So what have I gotten out of this thread in the posts above...

-A lot of intelligent posts by many whom understand hockey...maybe have even Coached it and understand the valued parts of a balanced team in any endeavor, be it sports or not.
-We are comparing Jonathan Drouin to Ross Johnston??
-We are concerned about JAGs, but think it's good that we signed a 28 years-old, not elite skills, not extensive accomplishment nor seasons at the NHL level (regardless the circumstances preventing that...he hasn't), not a large intimidating force, and the evidently concerning left-hand shot Winger??
-And we think Steen is a failure 2 days into his job without a puck being dropped nor a whistle blown in a game??

(Note I'm not overly concerned about from what dominant hand they shoot with as long as the skills and results are there...see the extensive successful Red Wings rosters in the past having only 3 right-hand shooting players in their regular lineup.)

Monty likes starting games with the 4th line and it would be great to have one that plays even more physical. Chief liked doing that also. Low risk, potential high reward

My opinion is this was a very good signing. The Blues have needed some muscle for quite a long time. Our talen needs some protection!! Never understood why Army was against a solid 4th liner that can keep the other team honest.

I remember watching a game last year thinking how bland the line up was no character, no team chemistry really no physical presence. They have added big size in McTavish and Johnston and another dog on a bone with McMichael.
The Blues have done a good job this off season the roster is better than last year they have a good shot at a playoff spot.
