A playmaker... whose highest assist total thus far is 14 assists....who slots into the 3rd or 4th line... um... okay....

So sounds like you agree that there is absolutely no spot for him. He isn't good enough to be on a scoring line and not "grindy" enough to be on a 4th line.

I will keep beating the Justin Carbonneau drum until I am proven wrong. The Blues need a right shooting RW and Carbonneau has infinitely more skill and upside than Berggren has.
You just keep beating something while some of us understand that rushing JC could hurt his development and Berggren may be able to prove he has what it takes to stick and provide the Blues with another asset.
JB has played over 200 NHL games. He is what he is.

Yet Carbonneau has taken just 6 Shots in 3 Calder Cup Playoff Games. Below was the high watermark…
Justin Carbonneau

Carbonneau came in as a right wing on the third line, logging 17:22 across 21 shifts, including 4:40 on the man-advantage. Like Jiříček, he didn’t find the scoresheet, but he was active enough to leave a mark on the game in other ways.

All three of his shot attempts reached the net, giving him a perfect shots-on-goal rate for the evening. He also drew a faceoff and was physical enough in his play to draw a response from the opposition. Carbonneau took one penalty in the game coming at 13:20 of the first period, when he was whistled for a slashing penalty, the Thunderbirds’ first infraction of the game. It was one of four slashing calls assessed to the two teams across the night, as the game carried a the much anticipated physical edge that both rosters were expected to have.
