He signed with the lakers today. I suppose the NBA does what the nfl does and drafted players are free to sign wherever. I hope he makes the roster and finds some playing time.

Non-guaranteed deal for now but at least he has his foot in the door. Lakers should make their money back in Avila merchandising alone. Imagine 'Cream Abdul-Jabbar' on a Lakers jersey.
