Time to piggyback Dobbins and Liberatore
Dobbiins for four innings. Then Liberatore for three or four innings.

I don't like piggy back starts but something has to change for Liberatore. Only about 4 innings then he implodes

Maybe Liberatore should start, try to go four innings and turn it over to Dobbins.Charles King wrote: ↑19 May 2026 20:16 pm I don't like piggy back starts but something has to change for Liberatore. Only about 4 innings then he implodes

Re: Time to piggyback Dobbins and Liberatore
I'll say it: the idea of Piggybacking is dumb.
Why?
Because after you get through your starter, you play the situations.
What does that mean?
You pitch lefty on lefty, righty on righty. You don't want relievers facing the same guy twice. There is strategy that's gets you to the closer's role.
If all you had to do was pitch X pitcher 5 innings and Y pitcher 3-4 innings, then that would be a thing.
There's a reason why it's not a thing.
In a perfect scenerio, Libby would go 4 1/3, Dobbins 3 2/3, then O'Brien for 1 inning, but it doesn't work out that way.
