Might be time for a temporary shift to closer by committee. This is why I never like annointing a new closer over the age of 30 the sole role when he's never done it before and you give him the job with less than 10 saves.
Not that he didn't deserve it, but you just don't know how he's going to hold up over the season.

Is Saggese one of these guys who will figure it out next year?

Starting this inning with one out since klutz Saggese leads off.

He isn’t Major league material. Neither is VS2.Alex Reyes Cy Young wrote: ↑19 May 2026 21:33 pm Is Saggese one of these guys who will figure it out next year?

For limited playing time, Saggese optimizes his chances of screwing up.

Scott is useless at the plate. It’s almost embarrassing watching him.

Tonight? Riley O'Brien, of course. Just saying, moving forward, might not want to make it an automatic decision until Riley shows he's right.Cardinals1964 wrote: ↑19 May 2026 21:32 pmAnd who would you have put in?blackinkbiz wrote: ↑19 May 2026 21:30 pm Might be time for a temporary shift to closer by committee.
