i know we are supposed to hate the cubs but i honestly think people are making too big a deal of this.

he might look like a slight (donkey)(pit) but all hes really doing is firing profanity back at a heckler.

this is nothing compared to tommy pham listing off his martial art blackbelt credentials and threatening fans to fights in the parkingl lot.

armstrong is just matching energy and speaking a little stupid back, but ultimately not that unhinged. he isnt threatening violence or hurting anyone. if you heckle a player and the player telling you to suck their dck back hurts your feelings, your too soft to be engaging in that banter and shouldnt heckle if the player talking back hurts you that much.

pham literally threatened violence against fans in the stands and never got suspensions for that

Overall, I kind of liked it.

She was talking trash and he gave it back to her. He should've said something less...uh...specific, but I liked how he responded to her. That Cubs/Sox series had some heat to it, which was nice.

He's a professional athlete representing a (kinda) MLB team and MLB itself. I get all of the people who say she had it coming, but you simply cannot do that while you are wearing a uniform. All he had to do was point at her and have her ejected and that would have likely hurt her a lot more than anything he said, and I'm for that.
I don't think "fans" should be able to just ride a player for 7 innings until the beer sales stop and they stagger out, but the players have to handle themselves with professionalism. I saw countless people saying that he should have been able to punch her out, well, what if she kicked his (donkey)? His career would pretty much be over and she looked to be a pretty stout girl.
