Toronto looks pretty silly. Wonder if they could’ve used Marner this year? Now they’re blowing it up again.

I refuse to watch those two. Nobody to root for until the SCF.TheJackBurton wrote: ↑14 May 2026 21:53 pm well worst case scenario for the WCF is very likely and I can't stab out my eyeballs enough

I think this is the most desolate I've ever seen this place during a PO game. There's like 10 people in here.

There was talk about not falling back into a defensive shell after the Buffalo-Montreal game. Well, Vegas did and executed to near perfection, on the road. Often, it's the team and players executing that matter, not a systemic fault.
Marner put the game away early with a brilliant breakaway goal and then a great play and feed to Howden for a shortie. That early power play was a killer for the Ducks.
Vegas is dangerous, Hart is playing well, but Anaheim is not Colorado.

Is it me or has this post season in general been pretty boring/bad.
I haven't cared much for the match ups and the play seems to have followed those sentiments....looks like I won't have a fave team to cheer for come finals so last hope to be happy goes to watching Colorado lose.

Totally agree. There has been only one game 7 to date. I was excited for the Col/Minny matchup but that didn't work out well. The third round doesn't look much better. I'll be surprised if the Canes and Avs don't roll their respective teams.dhsux wrote: ↑15 May 2026 07:33 am Is it me or has this post season in general been pretty boring/bad.

Habs series have been competitive.dhsux wrote: ↑15 May 2026 07:33 am Is it me or has this post season in general been pretty boring/bad.

I see these factors contributing to the meh feeling. The playoff scheduling has been terrible, and there have been two dominant teams, one in each Conference. The Dallas-Minnesota series was good but then Colorado smashed through Minnesota turning that series into a dud.
The other factor is all the new teams and players. The league is caught in a transition from the old guard and superstars to the new. Teams like Buffalo and Montreal are establishing identities and often it's the role players coming up big. Tampa is toast, the Oilers and McDavid are long gone. Talent is spreading out much more evenly across the league. Younger teams are getting their feet wet but aren't ready for prime time.
Colorado is a star-driven team. Carolina is, essentially, not. Vegas has an identity but does anyone on the East Coast see their games?

Once the Sabres and Canadiens are out I’m on the Vegas train just because I want to see Marner win the the Conn Smythe and how Toronto media and their fan base reacts to that.

At this juncture I'm a Carolina fan, but the league can't keep them on TV. They are sidelined by their own excellence and extremely stupid scheduling. If Buffalo somehow takes it to seven the Canes wouldn't play again until May 20 at the earliest. I'm with you on the Marner thing, though, until it gets to the Cup.Pierre McGuire wrote: ↑15 May 2026 07:59 am Once the Sabres and Canadiens are out I’m on the Vegas train just because I want to see Marner win the the Conn Smythe and how Toronto media and their fan base reacts to that.
