Thanks for posting. Lines look good to me. Carbs wasn't making a difference in any positive way, so good call by the coach on putting in the guy whose spot he was holding.
Burns-Skinner could be fun to watch.

1st period all Penguins this looks like the end of the road for Spr. Tbirds can't get much going vs Penguin speed and checking. Zonnon scored again 1-0. Romanov is saving them again

Thank you for the updates.
Carbo, unless he has a unbelievable camp, might need a year of seasoning. No alarm bells going off here. Just don't rush him. Let him acclimate. Then release the hounds.

I felt like Carbo showed enough last camp to make the team. However, I agree with your assessment. The way Springfield has played the last five periods, I would say Lindstein, Stenberg and Jirisek need a year of seasoning with the Birds.John Cocktoastin wrote: ↑14 May 2026 19:19 pm Thank you for the updates.

Anyone thoroughly impressed with Benson? I just think he was such a great pick in his draft - and his game is showing it. Edge work, vision, shooting, puck hound.
Reminds of a draft eligible player, similar in stature, same type of game, similar height.
EDIT - I was rambling. Meant to post the Benson blurb in the other GDT...

Great win! Down 3-0, come back to win it in OT!
It’s the playoffs. No details given. Hopefully not too badly.

If Otter doesn’t get a head coaching job, the pipeline just might explode. He has these guys playing NHL-style hockey.

I watched the highlights on YouTube. Great resilience shown by the T-Birds.
Dube is clutch again.

It looked like Hugh McGing had a heck of a game.
Romanov’s split save in OT was epic.
Dube plays like he has a giant chip on his shoulder. If he can keep it there for the rest of the playoffs, he will play in the NHL next season

Re: Spr vs WBS lines
I'd love to know what Otter said to the team after the second period. At that point the T-Birds had been shut out for the first five periods of the series and trailed in game two 3-0 while being outshot 30-14 after 40 minutes. A shorty in the first minute of the third gave hope and they had numerous chances to get another one while pumping 20 shots in the final period. But it all came down to a frantic, desperate push down two and pulling the goalie with 3:42 left in the game. 6 on 5 magic (parent club take note) from Dillon Dube who sent it to overtime with not one but two lightning bolts. The onslaught continued in OT with the T-Birds holding a 11-4 shot advantage. I really can't remember any game at any level where a switch was flipped harder than tonight's game. Was a sight to behold.
