Stan Musial gets his 3,000th hit against the Cubs. I had just gotten home from school, and my dad said Musial is pinch hitting, I heard the call on the radio by Harry Caray. What an exciting moment in Cardinal history. May 13, 1958.

About a year before I started following the Cardinals. Harry sure sounded excited on the play by play. 68 years is a while.

Yes, same here,Old Red ! I was 10 years old that day .
I was in 4th grade. A great moment !
