Was really impressed by him after watching him pitch. Good stuff , great control. He may turn out to be the best player in the off season trades.

Are they using a split Month? We are 11 days into May.

The stats cited are strictly for April.

Probably took them 10 days to assemble a consensus opinion on who to give it to for April.

Fajardo has struck out 34 in 24.2 IP but he's just sixth in k-rate for Peoria. They have 13 pitchers striking out more than one per inning. Live arms or no opposition?

34 strikeouts and only 3 walks
A very low 0.4 HR/9

He's doing this at 19 at A+. He looks like a very advanced pitcher based on the stats. This is a welcome update.

I've heard him described as being " incredibly advanced for a 20 year old" by evaluators.

He's got by far the best K-BB ratio though...

Not sure whether live arms or no competition. If you're on twitter then Kyle Reis would probably be able to answer that for you.

According to Kyle, Tanner Franklin has more upside than Fajardo bc Fajardo's FB isn't great aside from the velo. He thinks more advanced hitters won't have as much trouble with it.

Which is even more interesting when you consider he's 19 until October!

Maybe both. The Chiefs' team ERA is over 6 but it's over 5 for the entire league.

Another Peoria name I recognized was Blake Aita who came over with Dobbins and Fajardo in the Contreras trade.

Fangraphs made the same comment as Reis about Fajardo's fastball but raved about his slider.

Kinda weird. In past years I've seen POM stories posted on the 1st or 2nd of the next month.
