Well I didn’t want to be too overly critical There 2-3 obvious positions that require upgrade and appear to be options at Memphis
It won’t take much to improve these glaring holes. Where is BLOOM?

How much would Donovan in LF add to the length and depth of LF - as well as other positions?
Bloom made several good moves - trading him was not one of them.

My guess is that nobody else from Memphis is going to get a chance to take the LF job and run with it before Nootbaar comes back. Nootbaar has got to be pretty close, actually.

Blaze Jordan is another. You could call him up just to get some DH at bats part-time. But since he's primarily been playing 3B at Memphis, I imagine that's how the the Cardinals view him. And they probably want to give Gorman a little longer leash before they really start letting him hear footsteps by way of having a new 3B join him on the roster.

He would be a short timer even according to the guy who you are agreeing with who wanted to wait until the trade deadline then trade him.

He is no more of an outfielder than Fermin. He has played in half of the available games which is only a little below his average of 122 games the last 3 years.

Time to let go. BD is the past move forward.
Seattle overpaid and will NOT keep him.

Donovan has only played in 20 games this season due to various injuries including an IL trip and will be back on the IL a Least one more time before the season is over snd if he was in left the cardinals would have lost several of the games that church made game saving plays on. He can’t help win the division when he isn’t on the field

I wouldn’t blame Marmol. Who’s sitting on the bench that’s any better? Bloom needs to make the move.

He has hit his entire life until this year. the chance of a mean reversion is strong.
Thomas' Mother died when he was in high Scholl and he has, in a way, dedicated his career to her memory.

He has scuffled his entire MLB career. He has 410 major league ABs. Hasn’t hit yet.
