League Sabotage?

Post by StLouis-4Life2 »

Is the league purposely sabotaging themselves or do they just have no one with common sense in upper management? Game day and game time choices are unbelievably bad. .it truly seems like they are trying to alienate fan bases. I would have watched last night but didn't even know there was a game on. Saw some people on Facebook say they were disappointed with the crowd... really on the travel day for mother's day weekend. 🤯

When StL got their MLS team, I was first in line as a STH. The appeal was obvious, local ownership, a league committed to the region, and best of all… Saturday was Match Day. Then, they started sprinkling in Weekday matches & Sundays.

In my 4 years as a STH, I’ve yet to go to a Weeknight match. It pisses me off the MLS schedules them.

The primary concern for the UFL on the revenue side is TV ratings. Attendance at the games is secondary, although not trivial. Their reason to move to soccer stadiums is that their usual smaller attendance would look better on TV in smaller stadiums.

My take on the Battlehawks home stadium would be that they will not move to the STL City field because City will not want their field torn up by football, so they will stay at the dome for as long as the UFL exists.
